NEW LAND INFORMATION

AREA About 1 acre about 25% larger than Baird Park

Some Pros

Remote rural location - Few security issues no expensive fencing-Fewer distractions, peaceful, good views
Land is registered as agricultural- horticultural is treated the same way - Few planning issues - more freedom to do as we wish eg
Bee keeping
large fruit trees
Communal Composting
Owner intends to stay put for the foreseeable future - long lease can be negotiated if we wish
Owner wants to have a communal shed and will assist with ground preparation
Owner will produce hardstanding for cars
Electricity and water can be made available - we could have freezer(s) to store XS produce.
No rabbit problem - allegedly! Local deer live in a nearby wood and don't wonder onto the land.
Ground looks reasonable - similar workability to Baird Park.

Cons
Remote rural location - More windy than Baird Park - may need to plant wind breaks
8 mile journey about 10-15 mins.
May need to change our Constitution to include Drumlithie or other local folk.
Ground is on a slight slope.
